Half a billion people are hungry right now 

 

But why?  If you were told that it's because of lack of knowledge would you agree? Think about it for a moment. isn't food insecurity directly linked to poverty? And how is poverty engendered? Through a lack of resources, including knowledge. Then, would you say this is a problem that we can tackle through education?  We think so.

 

The United Nations, through their Food and Agriculture Organisation, have said that  'GDP increase in agriculture is twice as effective in reducing poverty as other growth sectors'.   Eating is a basic need and a well-fed person is a happier person.
